My son. What a goof and a clown! He likes to make people laugh. When he laughs or has a big smile there's a dimple high on each cheek.
One of his favorite things to do is see if he's taller than me. He'll say "Mom stand still" then walk up to me, turn so we're back to back then put his hand atop our heads. "HA! Not yet Buddy!" was always my response........until last month. The realization that he'd grown taller than me came with his dad as the official witness/height judge. Again, I heard "Mom stand still" then with excited anticipation he yelled "Dad come here". Again with the measuring thing, ugh!
This time when I turned to say "Ha" I was looking into twinkling eyes, an ear-to-ear grin and, yes, those dimples. Giggle, giggle. "I'm taller than you". Giggle, giggle. His laugh made me laugh as usual.
PS: To put the height thing in perspective, I occasionally need assistance getting items from the top shelf at the grocery store so really there's not much challenge in being taller than Mom. Let the teasing commence. It's already begun with "need me to reach that for you", "can you see over me, Mom", "duck, oh wait, you don't need to duck do you Mom?".
